Job summary

Akima Global Logistics (AGL) is seeking a Shipping & Receiving Clerk to process inbound/outbound Army equipment, verify documentation, and update GCSS-Army and other systems. The role requires coordination with units, transport teams, and COR to ensure timely, compliant turn-ins and shipments.

The ideal candidate has 2–4 years in shipping/logistics, familiarity with Army paperwork, and a background in a military or contractor setting.

Qualifications

2–4 years of shipping, receiving, or supply experience.
Military or contractor environment experience preferred.
Familiarity with Army supply/transportation documentation and systems desirable.

Responsibilities

Process and verify incoming equipment per AR 710-2 and related docs.
Match items to turn-in documentation for accuracy and completeness.
Update Army logistics systems (GCSS-Army, DPAS, or LMP) to reflect receipt transactions.
Stage and transfer items to designated warehouse or yard locations.
Prepare outbound shipments and review shipping documentation.
Coordinate with transportation teams for scheduling, loading, and dispatch.
Verify load plans and ensure proper packaging, marking, and securing.
Maintain accurate logs of inbound and outbound shipments.
Input transactions into Army-approved logistics systems.
File and maintain shipping, receiving, and discrepancy reports.
