Job summary

DC Army National Guard is seeking a Truck Driver to transport cargo and supplies, operating wheeled vehicles and preparing them for movement by air, rail, or vessel. You will ensure safe loading/unloading and employ convoy defense techniques.

Training is provided with 10 weeks Basic Training and 7 weeks Advanced Individual Training; you’ll earn a regular paycheck and qualify for tuition assistance. Compensation includes a monthly drill weekend pay and part-time retirement benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be eligible for enlistment in the Army National Guard.
• Must be at least a junior in high school, or have a high school diploma or GED.
• Ages 17–35.
• Must pass a physical exam and meet legal and moral standards.
• Must meet citizenship requirements (see NATIONALGUARD.com for details).

Responsibilities

• Oversee and check proper loading and unloading of cargo on vehicles and trailers.
• Employ convoy defense techniques.
