Job summary

DC Army National Guard is seeking a Truck Driver to operate wheeled vehicles and support logistics. You will load, secure, and unload cargo, manage safety, and prepare vehicles for movement by air, rail, or sea, while learning basic Soldiering skills during training.

You will gain hands-on driving experience, with 10 weeks Basic Training and 7 weeks Advanced Individual Training, earning a regular paycheck and tuition assistance during the program.

Qualifications

• Must be a junior in high school or have a high school diploma or GED.
• Ages 17–35 and able to pass a physical exam.
• Must meet citizenship requirements and other federal standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and check proper loading and unloading of cargo on vehicles and trailers.
• Employ convoy defense techniques.
