Job summary

DC Army National Guard in the United States seeks a Truck Driver to support military logistics. You will operate wheeled vehicles, load/unload cargo, and ensure safety of personnel; you may prepare vehicles for movement by air, rail, or sea.

Training is paid: 10 weeks Basic Training and 7 weeks Advanced Individual Training; you’ll earn a regular paycheck and qualify for tuition assistance. Candidates must enlist, be 17-35, have high school diploma or GED, and meet citizenship and fitness

Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. citizen enlisted in the Army National Guard.
• Experience in driver education is a plus.
• Interest in driving and mechanics is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and check proper loading and unloading of cargo on vehicles and trailers.
• Employ convoy defense techniques.
