Job summary

ACCEL Academy is seeking an Army JROTC Instructor to implement an educational program for the designated grade level and to serve as an integral part of the school system, facilitating instruction and career opportunities for students.

The instructor will develop and deliver curriculum, manage cadet training, and coordinate JROTC activities in accordance with U.S. Army policies and local district guidelines. A competitive starting salary and benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Must be retired from active Army with rank Captain–Colonel within last 3 years and 20 years of service.
• Must be certified by the US Army to teach the Army JROTC program.
• Minimum high school diploma; AA degree within five years of hire.
• Rank of SSgt to Command Sergeant Major required.
• Some college background preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and presents instruction to JROTC cadets.
• Enrolls scholars in JROTC.
• Maintains relations with school authorities, faculty and student body.
• Advises the SAI on improvements within the unit.
• Supervises extracurricular activities and weekend duties.
• Prepares weekly training schedules.
• Attends Army JROTC summer camp with cadets.
• Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
