U.S. Army Emergency Care Nurses play a vital role in saving lives, from forward-based units to fixed facilities, delivering critical care in combat and peacetime missions.

As an Emergency Nurse in the Army, you will provide frontline care, participate in advanced trainings, and serve Soldiers and their families with compassion and professionalism. You will have opportunities for continued education, leadership training, and a comprehensive benefits package while serving Active Duty or in Army

Qualifications

• Must have a bachelor's degree in nursing.
• Must have current, valid, and unrestricted nursing license.
• Must complete the Emergency Nursing Course OR request a waiver for documentation of your emergency nursing experience.
• Must be a U.S. citizen to serve Active Duty.
• Must have a permanent U.S. residency for Army Reserve.

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency/trauma nursing care across care settings and missions.
• Assess, diagnose, plan, intervene and evaluate patient responses.
• Interact with and care for individuals, families and groups in diverse settings.
• Engage in ongoing training, education and consultation to stay current in best practices.
