Job summary

The DC Army National Guard is seeking Cavalry Scouts to be the eyes and ears of the armored division. As a Cavalry Scout, you will provide vital reconnaissance and intelligence necessary for informed decision-making.

This role involves a combination of physical and mental challenges while operating scout vehicles and weapons, along with gathering critical information on terrain and enemy positions. Training lasts 16 weeks and offers numerous benefits including tuition assistance and health care.

Qualifications

• Must be able to pass a physical exam and meet legal and moral standards.
• Must meet citizenship requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide reconnaissance and report information back to commanding officer.
• Operate scout vehicles and individual weapons.
• Gather and report information on terrain and enemy disposition.
