Job summary

Baker Hughes is seeking an ARMO Mechanic I to diagnose, repair, and maintain complex equipment, ensuring reliability and performance. You will read blueprints and wiring diagrams, use diagnostic tools, and carry out maintenance in a safety-focused environment.

The role emphasizes troubleshooting hydraulic and electro‑mechanical systems, documenting activities, and contributing to continuous improvement while on onsite shifts. A HS diploma and relevant technical experience are required.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in mechanical maintenance, industrial repair, equipment servicing, or related technical field.
  • Experience with hydraulic, electrical, or electro‑mechanical systems.
  • Ability to read blueprints, wiring schematics, assembly drawings, and technical documentation.
  • Knowledge of hydraulic circuits and electro‑mechanical troubleshooting techniques.
  • Experience using diagnostic equipment such as multimeters, megohmmeters, and hi‑pot testers.
  • Familiarity with three-phase 480V and single-phase 120V electrical systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Basic computer skills for documentation, reporting, and maintenance tracking.
  • Strong communication and teamwork capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Investigate and resolve equipment-related complaints following maintenance procedures.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, assembly drawings, and parts lists to diagnose issues.
  • Support maintenance activities while following procedures and safety requirements.
  • Troubleshoot hydraulic circuits and electro‑mechanical systems to identify root causes and corrective actions.
  • Use diagnostic equipment including multimeters, megohmmeters, and hi‑pot testers.
  • Support maintenance of electrical systems including 480V 3‑phase and 120V single‑phase equipment.
  • Assist with inspection, maintenance, and repair to ensure reliability and resolve complaints.
  • Maintain records related to complaints, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
  • Use computer systems to track maintenance activities and documentation.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance performance.

As an ARMO Mechanic I, you are investigating equipment-related issues, diagnosing failures, and performing maintenance and repair activities to ensure equipment reliability and operational performance. You are utilizing technical drawings, diagnostic equipment, and established maintenance procedures to identify root causes and implement corrective actions. You are supporting continuous improvement initiatives while maintaining compliance with safety and quality standards.

As an ARMO Mechanic I, responsibilities:
  • Investigating and resolving equipment-related complaints in accordance with maintenance procedures.
  • Reading and interpreting blueprints, wiring diagrams, assembly drawings, and parts lists to diagnose technical issues.
  • Supporting maintenance activities while following established procedures and safety requirements.
  • Troubleshooting hydraulic circuits and electro‑mechanical systems to identify root causes and corrective actions.
  • Utilizing diagnostic equipment including multimeters, megohmmeters, and hi‑pot testers.
  • Supporting maintenance of electrical systems including three-phase 480V and single-phase 120V equipment.
  • Assisting with inspection, maintenance, and repair activities to ensure equipment reliability and complaint resolution.
  • Maintaining accurate records related to complaints, troubleshooting activities, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
  • Utilizing computer systems to track maintenance activities, complaints, and repair documentation.
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment performance and maintenance effectiveness.
To be successful in this role you will:
  • Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Have experience in mechanical maintenance, industrial repair, equipment servicing, manufacturing, or a related technical field.
  • Have experience working with hydraulic, electrical, or electro‑mechanical systems.
  • Have the ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring schematics, assembly drawings, and technical documentation.
  • Have knowledge of hydraulic circuits and electro‑mechanical troubleshooting techniques.
  • Have experience using diagnostic equipment such as multimeters, megohmmeters, and hi‑pot testers.
