Job summary

Baker Hughes in Arkansas is seeking an ARMO Mechanic I to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair complex hydraulic, electrical, and electro-mechanical equipment. You will read blueprints, use diagnostic tools, and follow safety and maintenance procedures to improve reliability.

You will support continuous improvement, document actions, and work with a team in a shift role from 4 pm to 1 am onsite. A high school diploma and related technical experience are required.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in mechanical maintenance, industrial repair, or related field.
  • Experience with hydraulic, electrical, or electro-mechanical systems.
  • Able to read blueprints, wiring schematics, and technical docs.
  • Knowledge of hydraulic circuits and electro-mechanical troubleshooting.
  • Experience using diagnostic tools such as multimeters, megohmmeters, hi-pot testers.
  • Familiar with three-phase 480V and 120V systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Basic computer skills for documentation and record-keeping.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Investigate and resolve equipment-related complaints per maintenance procedures.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and parts lists to diagnose issues.
  • Support maintenance activities following safety requirements.
  • Troubleshoot hydraulic circuits and electro-mechanical systems to identify root causes.
  • Use diagnostic equipment including multimeters, megohmmeters, and hi-pot testers.
  • Maintain electrical system knowledge for 3-phase 480V and 120V equipment.
  • Assist with inspection, maintenance, and repair to ensure reliability.
  • Keep accurate records of complaints, troubleshooting, and corrective actions.
  • Utilize computer systems to track maintenance and documentation.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement to boost performance.

As an ARMO Mechanic I, you are investigating equipment-related issues, diagnosing failures, and performing maintenance and repair activities to ensure equipment reliability and operational performance. You are utilizing technical drawings, diagnostic equipment, and established maintenance procedures to identify root causes and implement corrective actions. You are supporting continuous improvement initiatives while maintaining compliance with safety and quality standards.

As an ARMO Mechanic I, you are being responsible for:
  • Investigating and resolving equipment-related complaints in accordance with maintenance procedures.
  • Reading and interpreting blueprints, wiring diagrams, assembly drawings, and parts lists to diagnose technical issues.
  • Supporting maintenance activities while following established procedures and safety requirements.
  • Troubleshooting hydraulic circuits and electro-mechanical systems to identify root causes and corrective actions.
  • Utilizing diagnostic equipment including multimeters, megohmmeters, and hi-pot testers.
  • Supporting maintenance of electrical systems including three-phase 480V and single-phase 120V equipment.
  • Assisting with inspection, maintenance, and repair activities to ensure equipment reliability and complaint resolution.
  • Maintaining accurate records related to complaints, troubleshooting activities, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
  • Utilizing computer systems to track maintenance activities, complaints, and repair documentation.
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment performance and maintenance effectiveness.

To be successful in this role you will:
  • Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Have experience in mechanical maintenance, industrial repair, equipment servicing, manufacturing, or a related technical field.
  • Have experience working with hydraulic, electrical, or electro-mechanical systems.
  • Have the ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring schematics, assembly drawings, and technical documentation.
  • Have knowledge of hydraulic circuits and electro-mechanical troubleshooting techniques.
  • Have experience using diagnostic equipment such as multimeters, megohmmeters, and hi-pot testers.
