Job summary

Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy invites applications for an Instructional Assistant/Achiever's Aftercare at the Armleder Campus. This full-time, non-exempt role supports the lead teacher in an Elementary classroom, helping manage daily activities from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM and aligning with the school calendar.

Candidates should have a high school diploma and experience in Elementary Education, with Ohio certification preferred.

Qualifications

  • Elementary Education experience or a teaching degree with Ohio certification.
  • Strong classroom management and instructional support skills.
  • Teaching experience is preferred.
  • Belief in Christian faith and ability to work in a diverse Christian community.
  • Knowledge of Leader in Me (7 Habits) and Responsive Classroom recommended.
  • Ohio Educational Aide Permit required if not fully certified by Aug 1, 2026.

Job Title: Instructional Assistant/Achiever's Aftercare - Armleder Campus

Reports To: Armleder Building Principal

Status: Full-time, Non-Exempt

Schedule: Monday - Friday; 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Starting August 2026, following the school calendar

Job Summary: Support classroom teacher in all aspects of running an Elementary environment

Essential Job Functions
  • Act in a supportive role to classroom teacher, assisting with administrative tasks, classroom management, and student instruction
  • Supervise large and small groups of children
  • Nurture young children in their faith
  • Keep the classroom neat, clean and organized
  • Work with small groups of children to facilitate their learning
Job Requirements and Preferences
  • High school diploma
  • Experience in Elementary Education or teaching degree in Elementary Education with current state of Ohio certification
  • Prior teaching experience, preferred
  • Leader in Me - 7 Habits
  • Responsive Classroom
  • Must be a believing Christian who is comfortable in a diverse Christian community
  • Must obtain a state of Ohio Educational Aide Permit prior to August 1, 2026 if do not have a teaching certification
