Canvas Health is a non‑profit, Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) specializing in serving clients who are on Medicaid.
The ARMHS staff provide adult rehabilitative mental health services that instruct, assist, and support the recipient in basic living and social skills to individuals with serious mental illnesses or serious and persistent mental illnesses. These activities are to help restore a recipient's skills for managing their illness and everyday independent living. Service areas include interpersonal communication skills, community resource utilization and integration skills, crisis assistance, relapse prevention skills, health care directives, budgeting and shopping skills, healthy lifestyle skills and practices, cooking and nutrition skills, transportation skills, medication education and monitoring, mental illness symptom management skills, household management skills, employment‑related skills, and transition to community living services. It is collaborative in nature and requires working closely with Community Services, Court Services, private providers, outside resources, and programs at Canvas Health. Requires ability to drive to individuals' homes or in the community when needed. Primarily serving individuals in Ramsey and Washington counties.

40 hours per week between 8am – 5pm, Monday -Friday.
Meet DHS qualifications for a Mental Health Practitioner in one of the following ways:
AND completes training on mental illness, recovery from mental illness, mental health de‑escalation techniques, co‑occurring mental illness and substance abuse, and psychotropic medications and side effects.
AND receives clinical supervision as required at least once a week from a mental health professional until the requirement of 4,000 hours of supervised experience is met.
A practitioner is qualified as a vendor of medical care if the practitioner meets the definition of vendor of medical care in section 256B.02, subdivision 7, paragraphs (b) and (c), and is serving a federally recognized tribe.
