Job summary

Norway Health Center in Saint Paul, MN seeks an Adult Rehabilitative Mental Health Services (ARMHS) Worker to support clients in homes and communities, helping them regain independence and develop life skills.

You will build therapeutic relationships, provide clinical interventions under supervision, and coordinate with interpreters, case managers, and medical staff while maintaining confidential records and documentation per DHS guidelines. Flexible hours in a hybrid setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma and one of several qualifying options.
• Associate of arts degree or two years of postsecondary education in behavioral sciences.
• Registered nurse license or three years of life experience with mental illness or as a caregiver within ten years.
• 2,000 hours of work experience in health and human services within ten years.
• Bachelor’s degree with behavioral sciences coursework preferred.
• Experience working with individuals with mental health challenges preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide ARMHS services meeting DHS/Medicaid requirements to an established caseload.
• Develop therapeutic relationships with patients.
• Provide clinical interventions under supervision of a mental health professional.
• Teach skills to improve mental health and rehab goals with patients.
• Coordinate services with interpreters, case managers, family/guardian, medical personnel, etc.
• Participate in professional meetings and trainings.
• Attend supervision and clinical team discussions regarding clients and services.
• Maintain client files and complete documentation per DHS guidelines.
• Complete accurate case notes in session using Procentive EHR.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships within the organization and community.
• Refer patients to other professionals with supervisor support.
• Participate in other agency functions and ensure confidentiality of records.
