Job summary

Language Services Associates, Inc. is seeking Armenian-English interpreters to join its network of Independently Contracted Interpreters.

You will handle audio and video interpreting on demand and facilitate communication for LEP communities in a variety of settings. Responsibilities include interpreting via a web-based platform, answering calls promptly, delivering excellent customer service, and upholding confidentiality and professional conduct.

Qualifications

• Fluency in English and Armenian.
• Proficient with web-based interpreting platforms and MS Word.
• Dedicated interpreting space that is quiet, secure, and free from outside noises.
• 1+ year of professional interpreting experience preferred.
• Industry certifications (CMI, CCHI) preferred.

Overview

As an audio/video interpreter for Armenian in LSA’s network of Independently Contracted Interpreters, you are responsible for handling audio and videocalls on demand and facilitating language communication for the Limited English Proficient (LEP) community in a variety of settings. Language Services Associates is continuously accepting qualified interpreters!

Responsibilities

• Provide effective audio and video interpreting through a web based platform
• Answer inbound calls in a timely manner
• Provide superior customer service
• Adhere to Code of Professional Conduct, including maintaining strict standards of confidentiality
• Adhere to all policies and procedures, including professional interpretation protocols and industry specific best practices

Qualifications/Experience

• Full fluency in both English and Armenian
• Technology proficient (web-based platforms, email, Microsoft Word)
• An interpreting space that is quiet, secure, and free from outside noises
• 1+ years of professional interpreting experience preferred
• Industry specific certifications/trainings preferred (CMI, CCHI, etc.)
