Job summary

Prosegur in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Security Officer (Armed/Unarmed) to protect client assets and personnel in a fast-paced environment. The role requires vigilance, responsibility, and adherence to security protocols.

A background in law enforcement or corrections is preferred, and possession of a firearm license is required where applicable. Responsibilities include patrolling, deterring threats, controlling access, and providing emergency response.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid Driver's License and ability to pass MVR.
• Experience in Military Police, law enforcement, or corrections is required.
• Armed guard license in applicable states is required.
• Certified in arrest control, handcuff, and baton use.
• Must pass drug testing and MMPI evaluation.
• Capable of physical duties including patrolling and responding to incidents.
• Compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas, identify security breaches or hazards.
• Deter, detect, and respond to threats or incidents promptly and professionally.
• Control access points and monitor premises to prevent unauthorized access.
• Provide emergency response, including de-escalation and restraint as necessary.
• Maintain incident reports and documentation for security-related events.
• Engage with individuals courteously to enforce rules and regulations.
• Coordinate with local law enforcement when required.
