Job summary

Inter-Con Security Systems, Inc. is seeking qualified armed and unarmed security officers to protect critical infrastructure in Fountain Valley, CA.

Officers will handle access control, patrols, surveillance, and incident response to keep employees, visitors, and contractors safe. Required are a high school diploma or GED, at least two years in security or related fields, and a California BSIS guard card; armed posts require an Exposed Firearms Permit.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of experience in security, law enforcement, military, or related field.
• Valid security officer license (guard card) issued by the California BSIS.
• For armed positions: Exposed Firearms Permit and compliance with all relevant state regulations.
• Criminal background check through California DOJ and FBI.
• Pre-employment drug screening and physical examination.
• Valid First Aid and CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Access Control & Surveillance: Monitor and control entry points for employees, contractors, and visitors; operate CCTV and report suspicious activity; issue visitor badges and logs.
• Patrol & Incident Response: Conduct regular facility patrols; respond to security incidents including fire, theft, vandalism, trespass, and medical emergencies; coordinate with law enforcement as needed.
• Administrative Duties: Prepare daily activity and incident reports using automated reporting software; maintain records; participate in management meetings.
