Job summary

Inner Parish Security Corporation (IPSC) in Montgomery, AL is seeking a Security Officer with excellent customer service and security skills to protect multiple premises during swing shifts from 2:00pm to 6:00am. You will perform patrols, report incidents, and assist in keeping facilities secure.

This full-time role requires a current Alabama Armed Guard License prior to hire, a valid driver’s license, a clean driving record, and being at least 25 years old.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent (mandatory).
• Current Alabama Armed Guard License required prior to hire.
• Pay rate $17.50 per hour, paid weekly.
• Shift times 2:00pm–6:00am (Swing Shifts).
• Must have a driver’s license, a clean driving record, and be at least 25 years of age.
• Must pass background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular and random patrols of multiple premises.
• Report security-related incidents, hazards or unusual occurrences.
• Perform control procedures when necessary.
• Document nightly operations and file weekly reports.
• Investigate breaches of property.

Job Skills / Requirements

Inner Parish Security Corporation (IPSC) is recruiting for a security officer with excellent customer service and security skills in Montgomery, AL .

Current Alabama Armed Guard License Required prior to hire

Pay rate $17.50 per hour, paid weekly.

Shift times are between 2:00pm-6:00am (Swing Shifts)

You will help to prevent and deter crime through:

• Performing both regular and random patrols of multiple premises
• Reporting any security-related incidents, hazards or unusual occurrences
• When necessary, performing control procedures
• Documenting nightly operations and filing weekly reports
• Investigating breaches of property

You must meet the following requirements:

Physical and Mental Job Requirements:

• Must have effective written and verbal communication skills and must be able to communicate clearly and quickly in cases of emergency.
• A Security Officer must be able to read and interpret written information under a variety of circumstances.
• A Security Officer must be able to drive a motor vehicle in the course of his/her duties if required.
• A Security Officer must be able to detect and identify sounds relevant to fires, floods, alarm signals, and persons in distress against distracting sound background conditions (e.g., machinery, traffic noise, etc.)
• A Security Officer must be able to: Walk, Run, Stand, Climb, Sit.
• A Security Officer must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. waist high, if required.
• A Security Officer must be in good mental health and be able to make decisions instantly on the event of an emergency.
• A Security Officer must meet the physical and mental requirements of the state(s) to be licensed by the state to perform Security Guard / Security Officer work. Must be able to obtain the status of license required for the position, either Armed or Unarmed.
