Job summary

American Heritage Schools – Broward Campus seeks an Armed Security Supervisor to oversee campus safety, monitor surveillance, and supervise security personnel across Broward County. The role ensures a secure environment for students, staff, and visitors while enforcing school policies and coordinating with the Director of Security.

The position requires a background in law enforcement or military, a valid license (D&G), and successful firearms qualifications.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Military or law enforcement experience required.
• Must pass Psychological Evaluation.
• Valid license (D&G) required.
• Must complete firearms qualifications and quarterly trainings.

Responsibilities

• Patrol campus and monitor security posts on foot or by golf cart.
• Supervise security personnel and report to the Director of Security.
• Enforce disciplinary actions as needed and protect school property and people.
• Coordinate communications with parents, visitors, and staff regarding concerns.
• Direct traffic and control vehicle/pedestrian access on campus.
• Monitor alarms, fire systems, and visitor sign-in logs.
• Assist in evacuations, drills, or emergencies with Principals.
