Job summary

American Heritage Schools – Broward Campus is seeking an Armed Security Supervisor to ensure the safety of the premises, staff, and students. This role oversees Security personnel, monitors surveillance, and reports to the Director of Security.

The position requires a background in law enforcement or military experience, with a duty to patrol, verify IDs, and coordinate emergency responses. Excellent attention to detail and communication are essential for daily operations.

Qualifications

• Must pass Psychological Evaluation.
• Must have valid license (D&G).
• Previous military or law enforcement experience is required.
• Must be able to successfully complete firearms qualifications and quarterly trainings.

Responsibilities

• Know and follow the American Heritage Safety & Security Procedures.
• Patrol assigned posts on foot or by golf cart; remain at post until relieved.
• Supervise security personnel during scheduled times.
• Communicate with parents, visitors, and staff regarding concerns or issues.
• Enforce disciplinary actions as needed; protect people and property.
• Direct traffic and monitor campus vehicle access.
• Screen employees, guests, and visitors via ID badges and sign-in logs.
