Job summary

Lincoln County is seeking a dedicated Security Officer to protect people and property across assigned facilities. You will patrol areas, monitor surveillance systems, control access, and respond to emergencies with a visible presence to deter crime and maintain a safe environment for employees and visitors.

Qualified candidates typically hold a high school diploma or GED; security guard training is preferred, and prior security, law enforcement, or military experience is desirable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Security guard training certification preferred.
• Prior security, law enforcement, or military experience preferred.
• First Aid/CPR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides and implements security protocols for facilities.
• Patrols assigned areas and conducts security inspections.
• Monitors surveillance cameras and controls access points.
• Responds to emergencies and coordinates with authorities.
• Documents incidents and observations in detailed reports.
• Maintains professional and courteous interaction with staff and visitors.
