Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: 2 years in security or military equivalent.
• Must hold New York Armed Guard card.
• Language: fluent in English (written and spoken).
• Pre-hire: pass background screen, drug test, and medical exam.

Responsibilities

• Keep supervisors informed of unusual events per post orders and protocols.
• Monitor alarms, radio traffic, and information sources; dispatch as needed.
• Report fires, burglaries, or criminal acts; address unauthorized activity.
• Screen and inspect vehicles and pedestrians as directed by post orders.
• Escort individuals or vehicles as required and ensure controlled access.
• Log property movements and monitor government property to prevent loss.
• Conduct regular patrols and inspections of buildings and facilities.
• Provide security support for events and emergencies as requested.
• Coordinate with law enforcement; preserve evidence and testify when needed.
