Job summary

TVA is seeking an Armed Contract Security Officer for West Paducah, KY. This role performs patrols of industrial sites, handles security incidents, and enforces post orders to prevent unauthorized access.

Responsibilities include responding to emergencies, applying force as necessary, and coordinating with supervisors and police when needed, while maintaining detailed reports and records.

Qualifications

• All armed security personnel must meet at least one of the experience/education requirements listed below.
• CPR/AED/First Aid Certification is required or preferred.
• State Security Officer License may be required; certification in the use of weapons may be required.

Responsibilities

• Respond to active shooter with appropriate actions to neutralize threat.
• Follow post orders and use graduated use of force as necessary.
• Patrol buildings, grounds, and public areas; report irregularities and incidents.
• Notify supervisor and authorities in emergencies; document investigations and usage of equipment.
• Drive posted posts safely and maintain records of inspections and incidents.
• Assist management and enforcement officers during emergencies and critical events.
• Maintain watch over access points and enforce entry controls as per post orders.
• Complete administrative tasks and reports as required.
