Job summary

Inner Parish Security Corporation (IPSC) in Baton Rouge, LA is seeking professional Security Officers to join our team. We offer both armed and unarmed security options, patrol services, and related security solutions for businesses, homes, and government entities.

Full-time and part-time positions are available with 6p-2a shifts. Retirees and veterans are welcome. Training will be provided; prior law enforcement or security experience is a plus, with required licensing assistance in Louisiana.

Job Skills / Requirements

Inner Parish Security Corporation (IPSC) is recruiting professional Port Security Officers with excellent customer service and security skills to join our highly regarded team.

-We have immediate job openings and can assist you in the LA Security Guard Licensing and Training process.

-Foot Patrol and Driving Patrol positions

Schedule : 6p-2a

-Must have an open availability

-For driving positions, candidates must be at least 21 years of age, have a valid Driver's License, and have a clean Driving Record.

Full-time and part-time positions available. Retirees and Veterans are welcome. Prior law enforcement, military and/or 1 year of security experience is a plus, however training will be provided to the right candidate.

You will help to prevent and deter crime through:

• Performing both regular and random patrols of multiple premises
• Reporting any security-related incidents, hazards or unusual occurrences
• When necessary, performing control procedures
• Operating emergency equipment
• Documenting nightly operations and filing weekly reports
• Investigating breaches of property

You must meet the following requirements :

Physical and Mental Job Requirements:

• Must have effective written and verbal communication skills and must be able to communicate clearly and quickly in cases of emergency.
• A Security Officer must be able to read and interpret written information under a variety of circumstances.
• A Security Officer must be able to drive a motor vehicle in the course of his/her duties if required.
• A Security Officer must be able to detect and identify sounds relevant to fires, floods, alarm signals, and persons in distress against distracting sound background conditions (e.g., machinery, traffic noise, etc.)
• A Security Officer must be able to: Walk, Run, Stand, Climb, Sit.
• A Security Officer must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. waist high, if required.
• A Security Officer must be in good mental health and be able to make decisions instantly on the event of an emergency.
• A Security Officer must meet the physical and mental requirements of the state(s) to be licensed by the state to perform Security Guard / Security Officer work. Must be able to obtain the status of license required for the position, either Armed or Unarmed.
• A Security Officer must be able to work outside and not be afraid to get a little dirty.
• A Security Officer must not fear heights or working around water.
• A Security Officer must not be afraid of animals or loud noises.
• A Security Officer must be ok with crossing over water and looking over the sides of docks to verify barge and ship numbers.
