Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public at a government human services location while carrying out site-specific procedures and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, and assist with visitor screening and entry procedures.
• Carry authorized equipment in compliance with laws, policies, and procedures; document incidents and observations accurately.
