Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking an Armed Security Officer Patrol Driver - Part Time for Austin, TX. This role offers fixed shifts with an anchor schedule and opportunities to pick up additional shifts through our scheduling platform.

You will conduct armed patrols at retail locations, monitor access points, respond to incidents, and complete accurate reports while upholding site policies and safety standards. Valid Texas Level III Armed Certification and driver’s license required.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of combined law enforcement, corrections, or military experience, or at least 5 years of armed security experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to background investigation and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, and store personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with store leadership and emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail location, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points, receiving areas, and employee entrances in accordance with site procedures; verify authorized access and report suspicious activity.
• Complete accurate reports, maintain required documentation, and handle issued equipment in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific policies.
