Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking an Armed Security Officer in Huntsville, AL with a part-time schedule. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence, deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns while delivering excellent customer service and communication.

The role requires an active DoD Secret Clearance, an armed guard card, and at least 2 years of security or law enforcement experience.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, and/or corrections experience.
• At least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Armed guard card or license.
• Active DoD Secret Clearance.
• Pepper spray certification preferred.
• Be at least 21 years old for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen required.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors per site policies and access-control rules.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations with calm, documenting observations and notifying contacts.
• Conduct regular armed patrols of facilities, restricted areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, and enforce site entry/exit procedures.
• Maintain armed post equipment and complete accurate incident reports per requirements.
