Job summary

Military, Veterans and Diverse Job Seekers is seeking security professionals to protect client sites in California. You will perform patrols, monitor for security risks, and respond to incidents with composure and decisive action.

You will document findings, communicate with clients, and assist in escorting individuals as required. A background check and drug screen are part of employment, with licensing as mandated locally. Driving roles require a valid license.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent (or 5 years of verifiable experience).
• Background investigation required by law and drug screen administered where permitted.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service while carrying out safety and security procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and solve problems.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the site and perimeter.
• Intercede or escort individuals as needed.
• Observe and report suspicious behavior or materials to the client.
• Document and communicate any irregular security or safety incidents.

Job description

• Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out safety and security procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem solving manner
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.
• Intercede, escort, or assist in escorting, persons as needed
• Observe and report inappropriate or suspicious behavior and/or materials/objects to the client
• Communicate and/or document any irregular security-related or safety-related incidents
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. We will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

• Prior civilian or military law enforcement experience
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.*A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only

Preferred Qualifications:

• Service in Military Occupational Specialty related to law enforcement, security (such as Military Police, Elite Military Forces, combat arms) or any support role in a Combat Zone
• Bachelor's degree in law enforcement or criminal justice related studies
• A minimum of 8 or more years of service in any military branch
• Associate's degree (or 60 credits) or higher in law enforcement or criminal justice with current or prior active military service
