Armed Security Officers (Emergency Response - Hurricane Francine)

Inner Parish Security Corporation (IPSC) has provided tailored security solutions throughout the Gulf Coast for over 45 years. We provide armed and unarmed security officers to protect commercial businesses and assets. We also perform federal contract security and emergency response work. Our electronics division installs and maintains burglar alarms, fire alarms, and CCTV systems. We monitor both commercial and residential alarm systems. IPSC is hiring Armed Security Officers to provide emergency response security services near Hammond, LA, affected by Hurricane Francine. The pay rate is $20.00 per hour for Armed Guards with a Louisiana Guard Card. Both full-time and part-time positions are available on a temporary, disaster response basis.

Qualified candidates must meet these prerequisites:

• Current Louisiana Security License (IPSC will assist with licensing if needed)
• Reliable transportation
• Preferably military, law enforcement, or security experience

Additional requirements include:

• At least 21 years old
• Clean criminal background
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Good hygiene and grooming
• Reliable transportation and active phone number
• Ability to stand for long periods, perform foot patrols, and lift moderate weights
• Valid driver’s license/ID and social security card or acceptable IDs for I-9
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic
• If prior military, provide DD-214

Physical and Mental Job Requirements

• Effective communication skills, especially in emergencies
• Ability to read and interpret written information
• Ability to drive if required
• Ability to detect sounds relevant to emergencies
• Physical ability to walk, run, stand, climb, sit
• Ability to lift at least 50 lbs waist-high
• Good mental health to make quick decisions during emergencies
• Meet state licensing requirements for Security Guard/Officer work
