Job summary

Star Pro Security Patrol, Inc. is seeking an Armed Security Officer to safeguard client premises, assets, and personnel. The ideal candidate will handle firearms responsibly and exercise sound judgment in potentially dangerous situations.

The Officer will patrol, enforce security procedures, deter crime, and respond to emergencies while coordinating with authorities. Pay is $22–$25/hour with benefits and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Armed Security Certification: Must possess a valid Guard Card and Exposed Firearms permit.
• Driver's License: Must possess a current valid Driver's License and submit driving records.
• Equipped gears: Level 3 Holster, Duty Belt, Handcuffs; Level 3A Body Armor is optional.
• 2 of 3 Nonlethals: Baton, OC Spray, Taser with certifications highly desired.
• Firearms Proficiency: Demonstrated proficiency and ongoing training.
• Physical Fitness: Able to stand, walk, and respond effectively to emergencies.
• Communication Skills: Clear verbal and written communication; composure under stress.
• Critical Thinking: Quick risk assessment and decision-making for security scenarios.
• Ethical Conduct: High integrity and discretion in handling information.

Responsibilities

• Patrol and monitor assigned areas by foot or vehicle to secure premises.
• Enforce security procedures including access control and visitor screening.
• Deter criminal activity with a professional and authoritative presence.
• Respond promptly to emergencies such as medical incidents, fires, or disturbances.
• Safely handle firearms and use them only as a last resort when there is imminent threat.
• Prepare detailed incident and patrol reports.
• Coordinate with law enforcement and emergency responders as needed.
• Provide courteous assistance to employees, visitors, and clients.
