Job summary

Allied Universal, a leading security and facility services company, seeks an Armed Security Officer Transit Patrol in Denver, CO. You will monitor government transit locations, deter incidents, and assist riders and staff with professional service as part of a reliable team.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and the public by following site procedures and policies at a government transit location.
• Respond to incidents and disturbances calmly, document observations, and communicate with site contacts and responders as needed.
• Conduct regular armed patrols of platforms, parking areas, buildings, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor entrances and restricted areas, verify access, and report unusual activity or policy violations.
• Support emergency response, crowd management, and de-escalation while maintaining a visible presence.

Position

As a Armed Security Officer Transit Patrol in Denver, CO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government transit location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support riders, visitors, and staff through strong customer service and communication. Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $25.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Wed — 02:30 PM - 12:30 AM
• Thu — 02:30 PM - 12:30 AM
• Fri — 02:30 PM - 12:30 AM

What You\'ll Do

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or members of the public by following site-specific procedures, access protocols, and other security-related policies at a government transportation location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts, law enforcement, and/or emergency responders as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of platforms, parking areas, buildings, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor entrances, restricted areas, and public-facing spaces, verifying access permissions and reporting unusual activity, hazards, and/or policy violations according to post orders.
• Support emergency response activities, crowd management, and de-escalation efforts while maintaining a visible presence and following all applicable armed post responsibilities and reporting procedures.

Minimum Requirements

• 3+ years of Military Police or Corrections Officer or armed security-related experience, or be a Certified Law Enforcement Graduate.
• 1+ years of security-related experience.
• Possess an Armed Guard Card or license.
• Provide a DD214 with Honorable Discharge or an Associates Degree or 60 college credits or a Police Academy Certificate or a Corrections Academy Certificate.
• Handcuffing Certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
