Qualifications and Certifications

• 40 Hour Initial Weapons Training
• 64 or 72 Hour Basic Training
• Refresher Training if Basic Training is over 3 years old
• Gun Permit
• MEB baton / OC Spray
• First Aid/CPR/AED
• FPS X-Ray/Magnetometer Training
• FPS Orientation

Essential Functions

• Control access to the facility and assist visitors
• Monitor entrances/exits and prevent unauthorized access
• Patrol assigned site on foot
• Secure evidence and scene of incidents
• Prepare logs and reports
• Respond to various emergencies following established procedures

Physical and Mental Demands

Must be able to stand or walk constantly, climb stairs, and lift heavy objects. Must pass background, psychological, and drug tests. May encounter stressful situations requiring calm and professional responses.
