Job Description:

Vaxcom, a Parsons Company, is seeking a talented Armed Security Officer.

What You'll Be Doing:
  1. Control access to the facility by monitoring surveillance equipment, inspecting vehicles, and verifying personnel identification.
  2. Respond to incidents on base, following the Use of Force Policy, including armed response when necessary.
  3. Handle emergencies such as fire, medical incidents, bomb threats, elevator emergencies, hazardous materials, and severe weather.
  4. Observe and report suspicious activity and incidents.
  5. Maintain proficiency and safety in the use of all equipment, control devices, and weapons.
  6. Attend 40 hours of In-Service Training annually.
Required Skills:
  • Minimum 6 months experience in Law Enforcement, Corrections, Security, or U.S. Armed Forces.
  • Ability to pass an annual physical fitness test (mile and a half run, push-ups, sit-ups).
  • Qualification with Glock 17 pistol, shotgun, and rifle.
  • First Aid and CPR certification.
Desired Skills:
  • Completion of FEMA Courses 100, 200, 700, and 800.
Security Clearance:

An active Top Secret security clearance is required.
