Job description

We are seeking reliable and experienced VA Armed Security Officers to become an integral part of our team. The selected individuals will patrol and secure assigned premises as well as identify risks to staff and patrons. Part-time positions are available immediately. The pay rate for these positions is $18.00 - $19.00 per hour.

Available Positions:

Norfolk:

• Position 1: ($18/hr, 42 hrs/week) Mondays, Tuesdays, and Sundays: 6pm-6am
• Position 2: ($18/hr, 32 hrs/week) Wednesdays & Thursdays: 10pm-6am; Saturdays & Sundays: 9pm-3am
• Position 3: ($19/hr, 40 hrs/week) (Experience in Military, Law Enforcement, or Security Required) Tuesdays - Saturdays: 6am - 2pm
• Position 4: ($19/hr, 40 hrs/week) (Experience required) Various shifts including Monday 6am - 2pm, Tuesday 7am - 3pm, Wednesday 3pm - 11pm, Thursday 4pm - 12:30am, Sunday 12pm - 8pm
• Position 5: ($18/hr, 32 hrs/week) Wednesdays & Thursdays: 10pm-6am; Saturdays & Sundays: 8am-4pm

Virginia Beach, VA:

• Position 1: Monday-Friday 7:30am-4:30pm ($18/hr, 40 hrs/week) (Experience required)

Hampton, VA:

• Position 1: ($18/hr, 36 hrs/week) Tuesdays & Wednesdays: 3pm-1am; Saturdays & Sundays: 6am-2pm

Newport News, VA:

• Position 1: ($18/hr, 30 hrs/week) Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays: 3pm-1am
• Position 2: ($18/hr, 30 hrs/week) Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays: 5am-3pm

Responsibilities:

• Monitor premises to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of rules
• Examine doors, windows, and gates to ensure proper function and security
• Warn violators of premise rules and regulations
• Apprehend or expel persons engaging in suspicious or criminal acts
• Report facility issues such as fire hazards and leaks
• Request emergency personnel for high-risk situations

Qualifications:

• Must have a valid armed VA DCJS license
• Experience in security, law enforcement, or related fields
• Familiarity with security equipment
• Ability to handle physical workload
• Strong attention to detail
