The Armed Security Officer provides continuous patrols of the Barnes Jewish Hospital / St. Louis Children’s Hospital / Washington University Medical Campus, within St. Louis City, being attentive and alert to the safety and welfare of visitors, patients, volunteers, staff, employees, and hospital property. Interacts with residents and visitors to St. Louis City and communicates with the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department. Certifications required within 12 months of hire include: ASP Baton or Taser, CPR/AED, CPI Non-Violent Crisis Intervention, Pressure Point Control Techniques, Armed Security Officer’s License.
