Job summary

Securitas Global Clients America is seeking an Armed Special Police Officer in the Washington, DC area. The role requires an active SPO armed license and 9MM/Shotgun certification, with the ability to walk and stand for extended periods and deliver excellent customer service.

Applicants should have seven or more years of armed security, law enforcement, or military experience and be proficient with firearms safety, maintenance, and use-of-force techniques.

Qualifications

• Seven (7) or more years of armed security, military (armed forces), or law enforcement experience.
• Active SPO armed license or ability to obtain.
• 9mm/Shotgun Certification.
• Firearms proficiency: disassemble, clean, reassemble.
• Proficient in firearm safety.
• Strong situational awareness and observation.
• Ability to make fast, sound decisions in high-stress situations.
• Strong verbal and written communication for report writing.
• Knowledge of current events in the DC area.

Responsibilities

• Monitor premises and patrol assigned locations.
• Preserve order and enforce regulations.
• Provide customer service and information to clients, employees, and visitors.
• Serve as a physical deterrent to unauthorized activity.
