Job summary

Securitas Security Services USA, Inc. is seeking an Armed Special Police Officer in the Washington, DC area.

The successful candidate will hold an active SPO armed license and be certified to carry a 9MM firearm, with the ability to stand and walk for extended periods and deliver excellent customer service. Responsibilities include comprehensive premises monitoring, patrol duties, orderly enforcement of regulations, and professional reporting.

Qualifications

• Active SPO Armed license or ability to obtain.
• Minimum seven (7) years of armed security, military, or law enforcement experience.
• 9mm/Shotgun Certification.
• Firearms proficiency including disassembly, cleaning and reassembly.
• Proficient in firearms safety.
• Experience in situational awareness and observation.
• Ability to make fast, sound decisions under stress.
• Strong verbal and written communication for report writing.
• Ability to investigate incidents, gather details and elevate security challenges.
• Be able to make quick decisions without supervision.
• Knowledgeable about current events in the DC area.
