Inter-Con Security Systems, Inc. is seeking an Armed Officer for Shelby, Memphis, to uphold vigilant security across client facilities and assets. You will observe, report, greet visitors, log entries, and enforce access control, while maintaining professional demeanor and safety.

Responsibilities include patrolling per shift, securing doors, responding to incidents, and adhering to client rules. Prior firearms training and compliance with post orders are essential; training is provided where

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; college degree desirable.
• English communication skills required.
• High integrity and strong security judgment expected.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a high level of visibility at all times as a deterrent.
• Interacting with clients and visitors in a respectful, courteous manner.
• Greet visitors, answer questions, and log sign-ins and badges as required.
• Ensure visitors sign in/out; monitor access to restricted areas.
• Greet and question unescorted visitors in unauthorized areas as needed.
• Conduct hourly rounds to secure premises and perform post-shift sweeps.
• Secure all doors and access points at start and end of shifts.
• Report elevator or fire panel issues to facility manager; log as needed.
• Enforce the City No Smoking rule within 25 feet of entryways.
• Handoff information to relief guards and limit personal device use on duty.
