Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Armed Patrol Emergency Preparedness in Irving, TX to protect a financial institution and other client sites. You will perform routine armed patrols, deter threats, and respond to alarms while delivering professional customer service and maintaining situational awareness.

The role requires at least 2 years of security experience, an armed guard card/license, and the ability to work a daytime schedule.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of security-related experience.
• Armed guard card or license required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
• Must be at least 21 years old for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations following post orders and laws.
• Conduct armed patrols of the facility, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter.

You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, monitor for security-related concerns, and provide professional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a financial services location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while following armed post orders and applicable laws, regulations, and Allied Universal policies.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the facility, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity and help deter unauthorized access.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as required, and report suspicious activity, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Complete accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and other required documentation in accordance with site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
