Summary Statement:
The Armed Security Professional (ASP) will take pride in serving as a brand ambassador. The ASP position may include patrol, static post, responding to potential emergency situations, medical incidents, disturbances and/or requests for assistance. ASP Team Members will provide security of guests, fellow team members and vendors while providing five-star world-renowned customer service.
PrimaryJob Duties:– Includes but is not limited to:
- Act as a first responder during emergency situations and coordinate solutions; inform outside agencies of any unusual or suspicious situations on property at the direction of management.
- Carry a company issued firearm.
- Complete Security Incident Reports.
- Escort individuals who are trespassing, off property.
- Escort medical or law enforcement personnel.
- Successfully complete an annual physical agility test.
- Use defensive tactics and handcuffing techniques when applicable.
- Operate company vehicles as directed to do so.
- Rotate assigned stations, including Gaming areas as assigned.
- Gather pertinent information regarding Security related incidents involving guests, Team Members and/or Facilities and relay it appropriately.
- Escort and observe guests and Team Members to ensure their safety and protection; identify potential safety hazards and report to the appropriate individuals for proper resolution.
- Become familiar with hazardous materials used on property and all applicable laws, rules and regulations governing same.
- Maintain and securely retain a series of keys during your shift, access locked areas as necessary.
- Request identification from all persons who appear to be under the age of 21 to ensure compliance with state and federal gaming and alcohol regulations.
- Complete a 40-hour Security Academy within 30 days of hire.
- Pass an additional 14 hours of weapons qualification every year.
- Participate in weekly armed and company policy training.
- Obtain and maintain position-specific licensing.
- Use personal device/cellular phone for job related tasks, job duties, review of company documents, etc.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: Includes but is not limited to:
- Able to complete a physical agility test.
- Able to effectively communicate in English.
- Ability to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Preferred:
- Law Enforcement, Military, or in a similar, or related field.
- Previous experience working in a large, luxury resort setting.
Minimum Education and Experience:
- At least 21 years of age.
- Two years or more of previous experience with military, law enforcement, or an armed security capacity.
- Two years or more of previous experience as an armed officer in a professional setting.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Basic knowledge on safety and handling of firearms.
Certificates, Licenses, Regulations:
- Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
- Ability to obtain the following:
- Alcohol Awareness Card
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
- Nevada Driver License
- Conceal Carry Weapon (CCW)
- Gaming and Control Board (GCB)
