Job Title: Armed Security Officer

Location: Morgantown, WV

Schedule: Days and shifts vary. Part-Time/Full-Time hours. Temporary/Seasonal during the spring and summer months.

Pay: $21.50 per hour

Requirements:

• Concealed Carry License in OH, WV, or PA (must have existing license upon hiring)
• Own firearm, concealable vest (optional), gear, black boots, black pants
• Minimum 3 years experience as an Armed Security Officer, or former Military or Law Enforcement
• Valid driver's license
• Clean drug test
• Criminal background clearance

Primary Purpose and Function

The Security Officer provides security services at assigned locations, focusing on observation and reporting. Responsibilities include monitoring activity, conducting foot, vehicular, golf cart, or bicycle patrols, reporting suspicious activities, writing reports, enforcing policies, and responding to emergencies.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Execute security services as per Post Order Manual and management instructions
• Conduct patrols and identify/report threats or hazards
• Perform site-specific duties like customer service, loss prevention, security roles
• Write incident reports, notify relevant parties
• Know and implement site policies and emergency procedures
• Maintain attendance, grooming, and customer service standards
• Participate in training and orientation
• Respond to incidents following Post Orders and Use of Force Policy
• Support security, customer service, or other functions as directed

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Military experience or security education preferred
• 1-3 years of relevant experience preferred
• Valid state registration/license required; must pass background and drug tests
• Valid driver’s license and ability to operate vehicle, golf cart, or bicycle if needed
• Reliable transportation and ability to produce effective reports

Education: HS Diploma or GED

Certifications: Driver's License, WV Concealed Carry License, Personal Firearm Ownership, License to Carry a Firearm

This is a Temporary / Seasonal position for 1st, 2nd, 3rd shifts, weekends, summers. Relocation and travel are not required.
