Job Highlights

• Conduct armed patrols of hospital buildings and grounds (on foot and in vehicles), ensuring secure access control, visitor management, and safe traffic flow

Candidate Profile

• Must hold required armed security credentials, including FOID, PERC, Firearm Control Card (FCC), and certified firearms training (28+ hours), with the ability to qualify and maintain firearm proficiency
• Requires a valid Illinois, Wisconsin, or Indiana driver’s license with an acceptable driving record and ability to work in physically demanding, patrol-based roles (standing/walking, weather exposure, body armor)
• High school diploma/GED required; prior hospital security experience preferred; IAHSS certification to be earned within 6 months
• Demonstrate sound judgment, discretion with confidential matters, and strong customer service skills
