Job summary

Allied Universal in Temple, TX is seeking a Security Officer Armed Route Driver. This full-time role requires a valid driver’s license and Texas Level III Armed Certification.

You will patrol a retail location, deter incidents, and provide exceptional customer service while maintaining a visible security presence. Day-to-day duties include responding to incidents, documenting patrols, and coordinating with site leadership and law enforcement as needed.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Armed Route Driver in Temple, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a retail location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license and Level III Armed Certification. Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $19.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTime Mon 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
Tue 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
Wed 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
Fri 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees at a retail grocery location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the store, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following site procedures and applicable laws.
• Maintain a visible presence while monitoring access points, customer areas, and employee-only spaces for unusual activity, policy violations, and potential hazards.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately and promptly; communicate relevant information to site leadership, law enforcement, and Allied Universal management as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas only.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
