Job summary

St. Moritz Security Services, Inc. seeks an Armed Security Officer (Part-Time) for the Chicago region to protect client sites with professionalism and vigilance.

Based at our Chicago, IL location, you will perform patrols, monitor for threats, prepare incident reports, and respond to emergencies while delivering excellent customer service. Schedule: Saturdays and Sundays 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm; Pay: $20.00 per hour; requires 40-hour armed security training; IL FOID, PERC, HS diploma, and reliable

Qualifications

• Current Illinois 40-Hour Armed Security Training Certificate.
• Personal firearm and all required permits.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Reliable transportation.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to write clear, accurate incident and activity reports.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and report security-related activities and incidents.
• Conduct foot, vehicle, golf cart, and/or bicycle patrols as assigned.
• Identify and report suspicious persons, activities, or safety concerns.
• Complete detailed incident reports and Daily Activity Reports (DARs).
• Enforce site rules, policies, and post orders.
• Respond to emergencies and provide security assistance when needed.
• Maintain a professional presence and provide excellent customer service.
• Assist in de-escalating potentially hostile situations.

We are seeking professional, dependable, and customer-focused Armed Security Officers to provide security services at client locations throughout the Chicago area. This position emphasizes observation, reporting, patrol operations, and emergency response while maintaining a safe and secure environment.

Required Qualifications

• Current Illinois 40-Hour Armed Security Training Certificate
• Personal firearm and all required permits
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Reliable transportation
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to write clear, accurate incident and activity reports

Preferred Qualifications

• 1–3 years of security, military, law enforcement, or customer service experience
• College coursework in criminal justice, security, or a related field
• Experience with patrol operations and incident response
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
