Allied Universal in Phoenix, AZ is seeking an Armed Security Officer - Responder to protect government locations and assist the public while upholding our values. This part-time role offers a $23.00 per hour pay, a schedule on Saturdays and Sundays 06:00 AM - 06:00 PM, and opportunities for training, career growth, and access to our Shift-claiming platform.

As an Armed Security Officer supporting a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond professionally to incidents and requests for assistance. Pay Rate: $23.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat: 06:00 AM - 06:00 PM
• Sun: 06:00 AM - 06:00 PM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public at a government services location by carrying out security-related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, critical situations, and requests for assistance in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for individuals entering restricted areas in accordance with site‑specific procedures.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain required documentation for patrols, incidents, unusual activity, and other security‑related observations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least one year of armed security‑related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED, as required by the client.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
