Job description

We are currently seeking part-time Armed Security Officers at the Earth Resources Observation and Science Center (EROS) in Sioux Falls, SD. The role involves maintaining the safety and security of EROS facilities and personnel, including patrolling, monitoring surveillance, inspecting buildings and access points, and permitting entry.

Hourly Wage: $18.29

Paid holidays, sick leave, and vacation. Health & Welfare Rate: $4.93 per hour towards benefits. Benefits include 401k plans.

Place of Performance: USGS EROS in Sioux Falls, SD.

Hours of Operation: Support 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. Shifts: 7:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.; 3:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m.; 11:00 p.m. - 7:00 a.m.

Qualifications:

• Must be 21 years or older with a valid license
• Complete a background check (criminal/financial), physical, and drug screen
• First Aid/CPR/AED certification (issued by ADC)
• Complete a weapons qualification course

Disqualification: Due to domestic violence.

Preferred Qualifications: Conceal and carry permit.
