Overview

Protects company assets and provides a safe environment for employees and guests. This position requires a welcoming disposition, strong communication, and interactive skills, as this is the first Osage Casino Employee to greet visitors and answer phones.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required. The individual must be at least 21 years old, meet 100% proficiency in firearm safety, and achieve a 72% marksmanship score at bi-annual firearms training. Completion of a satisfactory MMPI evaluation and certification in CPR/AED/First Aid are required.

If the applicant has prior certification as an armed security officer or police officer, the MMPI may be waived. A 72% marksmanship score must be achieved before appointment.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• High School Diploma/GED
• 6 months of previous work experience, preferably in Gaming, Hospitality, or Customer Service
• Experience in law enforcement, military, or civilian security is helpful
• Completion of Osage Security Academy II, CLEET Phase IV, or other accredited security training within five years
• Knowledge of data entry and basic computer programs preferred
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and obtain an Osage Nation Gaming license
• Valid Driver’s License
• Proof of eligibility to work in the U.S.
• Preference for Osage, Native American, and Veterans
• Ability to perform all duties with or without reasonable accommodation

Responsibilities

GUEST SERVICES

• Provide excellent guest service with courtesy and consideration
• Communicate effectively and exhibit mutual respect among staff and guests
• Give directions and escort guests as needed

DEPARTMENT OPERATIONS

• Operate company vehicles and patrol property
• Ensure firearms are in safe, operable condition and meet qualification standards
• Escort money and persons in money-handling roles
• Complete administrative and security logs accurately

REGULATORY COMPLIANCE

• Maintain relationships with regulatory agencies
• Perform duties in compliance with laws, policies, and regulations including IGRA, MICS, ONGR, and others

BUSINESS GROWTH/DEVELOPMENT

• Prepare operational reports as required

COMMUNICATION

• Stay informed via internal communication channels
• Report incidents and assist law enforcement as needed

Qualifications

Prohibition on medication use while carrying a firearm unless waived by a medical professional

EMPLOYMENT AUTHORIZATION AND WORK CARDS

• Valid work authorization, driver’s license, and gaming license
• Security training certificates or police academy completion within five years

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

Requires physical ability to perform duties, including lifting up to 20 lbs, standing for long periods, and exposure to environmental elements and noise.
