Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking an Armed Security Officer for Culpeper, VA. You will patrol, deter incidents, monitor access points, and respond professionally to emergencies while delivering excellent customer service in a technology/telecom environment.

The role requires an Armed Guard Card/License and a valid driver’s license for certain positions; you must be 21+ and pass a background check and drug screen where permitted by law.

Qualifications

• CPO certification is required.
• Armed guard card or license required.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Armed roles require applicants to be 21+ years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check will be conducted under applicable laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Industry-specific security training may be required.
• Licensing requirements may vary by state/local laws.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and delivery personnel while following site policies and emergency procedures.
• Conduct regular armed patrols of the facility, data halls, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, and assist with visitor and contractor entry per site requirements.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, escalating as needed.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation.
