Allied Universal in Austin, TX is seeking a Security Officer Armed Patrol Driver Certification to protect customers and assets across a retail location. The role requires a valid driver's license and Texas Level III Armed Certification, and candidates must be at least 21, with a high school diploma.

You will perform armed patrols, monitor access points, respond to alarms and incidents, and document activities while delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of combined law enforcement, corrections, or military experience, or at least 5 years of armed security-related experience.
• Valid driver’s license as per Allied Universal policy.
• Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
• Must be at least 21 years old for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to store customers, employees, vendors, and visitors while following site procedures and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the store, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe activity for potential security concerns, reporting observations per site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical events, and critical situations calmly and professionally.
• Document patrols, incidents, and security-related activities accurately and promptly, communicating with site contacts and responders as needed.

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Driver Certification in Austin, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Armed Security Officer in a retail location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license and Level III Armed Certification. You will deliver exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and represent Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, caring, teamwork-focused, and integrity-driven values.

Pay Rate: $26.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon 02:45 PM - 11:30 PM
• Fri 02:45 PM - 11:30 PM
• Sat 02:45 PM - 11:30 PM
• Sun 02:45 PM - 11:30 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to store customers, employees, vendors, and visitors while carrying out site-specific procedures and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the store, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe customer and employee activity for potential security-related concerns, reporting observations according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical events, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Document patrols, incidents, and other security-related activities accurately and promptly, and communicate with site contacts and public responders as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, corrections, or military experience, or at least 5 years of armed security-related experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas only.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
