Allied Universal® is seeking an Security Officer Armed Patrol Access Control in Sanford, FL to safeguard clients across industries and serve at a government location. You will conduct armed patrols, monitor access, and provide professional customer service while upholding site procedures.

Minimum requirements include an armed guard card or license (license preferred), 21+ for armed roles, and a background check. The role offers full-time hours and a competitive pay rate of $19.63 per hour.

Qualifications

• Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and members of the public while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies at a government location.
• Perform armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and screen individuals entering restricted areas in accordance with site procedures, maintaining a professional and courteous presence.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergency situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; communicate observations to appropriate personnel and follow established response protocols.
• Complete required activity reports, incident documentation, and shift records; maintain accountability for assigned equipment and comply with applicable armed post procedures.
