Allied Universal in Atlanta, GA is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced to provide customer service, access control, and patrols at government facilities. This role offers reliable fixed shifts and opportunities to pick up additional shifts through the scheduling platform.

You will need armed security experience, a valid license where required, and a high school diploma. The position pays $21.75 per hour with a six‑month anchor shift and a path toward broader security responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience (1+ year).
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification are preferred.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at government facilities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and contacting appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of government buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and screen or verify authorized entry in accordance with site procedures, maintaining awareness of restricted areas and visitor activity.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, and patrol activity, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
