Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer to patrol and monitor public transportation locations in San Francisco, CA. You will provide courteous security services, observe, report, and engage with the public while following site procedures and safety protocols.

The role requires at least one year in armed security or related fields, an Armed Guard Card, and a high school diploma. Training, background checks, and a drug screen are standard prerequisites.

Qualifications

• Have at least one year of experience in armed security-related roles, law enforcement, or the military.
• Possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
• Pepper Spray Certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, contractors, and members of the public while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies at a public transportation location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned facilities, transit-access areas, parking areas, building perimeters, and other designated locations to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and assist with directing visitors in accordance with site procedures, reporting access-control concerns and maintenance issues to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and emergency situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and contacting emergency services and/or site representatives as needed.
• Prepare clear and accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.
